Build & Configuration Data
When you use the Rifle Builder, we collect information about the firearm configurations you create, including component selections, specifications, customisations, and any saved or submitted builds. This data is used to process your enquiries and, where applicable, facilitate orders.
Preferred Dealer Selection
You may select one or more preferred dealers from a list provided within the App. Your preferred dealer selection is stored and associated with your profile or enquiry to help route your request to the appropriate retailer.
Technical Data
We may automatically collect certain technical information when you access the App, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and usage data. This information is used for security, performance, and service improvement purposes.
How We Use Your Information
Hardy Rifle uses the information collected for the following purposes:
- To process and respond to build enquiries and orders
- To route your build configuration and contact details to your preferred dealer
- To facilitate compliance with New Zealand firearms legislation, including the Arms Act 1983

Disclosure of Your Information
New Zealand Police
Where required by law, particularly under the Arms Act 1983 and related regulations, we may be required to share your personal information and purchase details with the New Zealand Police. This may include your name, contact details, and details of the item(s) you intend to purchase. We will only share information with the New Zealand Police to the extent required by applicable legislation.
Preferred Dealers
Your build configuration and contact details may be shared with the dealer you have selected from our dealer list, for the purpose of fulfilling your enquiry or order. Dealers are independent businesses and are responsible for their own privacy practices once your information is received.
Service Providers
We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App, such as hosting and technology providers. These parties are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide services on our behalf.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Hardy Rifle, our users, or the public.
No Sale of Personal Information
Hardy Rifle does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing or commercial purposes.

The App may use cookies or similar tracking technologies to maintain session state and improve user experience. You may configure your browser to refuse cookies, however this may affect the functionality of the App. We do not use cookies for third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
Age Restriction
The App is not intended for use by persons under the age of 18. In accordance with New Zealand firearms legislation, you must be 18 years of age or older to purchase a firearm or firearm components. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We do not knowingly collect personal information from persons under 18.
Changes to This Policy
Hardy Rifle reserves the right to update or amend this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted within the App with a revised effective date. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
